Nominate an inspirational faculty!

Do you know a UFV faculty who has inspired you with their teaching innovation, leadership, and student engagement? Nominate them for the Teaching Excellence Award!

Nominations open

Nominations are open for the 2026-27 Teaching Excellence award. Please see the steps below to prepare a nomination. The deadline for submissions is December 7th, 2026, 9:00 am.

The Teaching Excellence Award (TEA) is presented annually to recognize and celebrate faculty excellence in teaching at UFV. Award recipients receive a framed certificate and an award  (to be used for Professional Development or Research), to be presented at a specially-designated award ceremony. Their name and year of the award are also displayed on a plaque at UFV. 

To make a nomination:

Complete the Intent to nominate form

Complete the Intent to Nominate web form, as early as possible. Upon receiving the form, the Secretariat office will email you to confirm eligibility of the nominator and nominee.

Prepare the nomination package

When nominations open, use the information and forms that will be made available here to compile your nomination package:

  1. ‌Review the nomination requirements in the TEA 2026-27 Nomination Information
  2. Complete the TEA Nominator Form.
  3. Send your nominee the TEA Nominee Form.

Note: Please include your word counts for each section that has a word limit requirement.

Submit your nomination

Submit your completed nomination package in PDF format, with a table of contents, to ufvsecretariat@ufv.ca.
