Biography

Melissa is the School Coordinator for the Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Inclusive Education Assistant (IEA) programs within the School of Education at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from UFV and a Master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education from the University of South Dakota. A memorable milestone in her academic journey was traveling to South Dakota to attend her convocation ceremony and meet her instructors in person, following the completion of her master’s program.

Since joining UFV in 2007, Melissa has worked in several departments, including Child, Youth, and Family Studies, Trades, the Office of the Registrar, Upgrading and University Preparation, and Financial Aid. She is passionate about supporting students and is dedicated to helping them achieve their educational goals.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. Her interests include hiking, running, soccer, yoga, and travelling. She also values time with her three young children, family, and friends.
