How to be certified as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) in Canada

Are you an internationally trained and certified ECE? If you are an internationally trained and certified ECE from a country outside of Canada, you can apply to become certified in Canada. See the ECE Registry Apply with Education Completed Outside of Canada for information on the process and how to apply using the My ECE Registry digital platform.

Contact the BC ECE Registry if you have questions or need help with the application process.

UFV Courses and Practicum

UFV ECE programs follow a cohort model, meaning that courses and practicums are designed to be integrated for those who are officially enrolled. Seats are reserved for admitted ECE students, and individual courses or practicum opportunities are not available to those outside the program, even with an evaluation from the ECE Registry.
