If you completed AP courses in high school, you may already be on your way toward earning university credit at UFV. The AP program offers enriched, university-level learning that can help you start your studies with confidence, and possibly with advanced credit.
Can AP courses earn you credit at UFV?
Yes. Many AP courses may be transferred to UFV as university-level credit, depending on current agreements.
To find out how your AP coursework is recognised:
- Visit the Advanced Placement Program
- Check the BC Transfer Guide Advanced Placement Search or the most up-to-date equivalencies
- Send your official AP transcript to UFV Admissions through the College Board Sending AP Scores service
If you have questions about your AP credit, the UFV Admissions team is here to help: admissions@ufv.ca.
Where to find program requirements
All entrance and program requirements for UFV programs are listed in the Academic Calendar. Below, you’ll find information on how AP courses may connect to School of Education programs.
Bachelor of Education entrance requirements
The BC Teacher Regulation Branch may accept AP courses for credit toward relevant requirements to become a certified teacher in BC. AP courses are only considered if transferred for credit at a recognised post-secondary institution such as UFV.
