Biography

Mr. Mackenzie holds a BSc (mathematics) and MBA (finance) from the University of British Columbia. He holds a Commercial Pilot's License.  Mr. Mackenzie has over 30 years of industry experience, including his executive role as President, KFC Canada and as the Owner/Operator of a multi-unti franchise business.  He is a former member (2005-2014) of the President's Advisory Council and National Advertising Committee for YUM International Restaurants (Canada).  In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he holds the position of Liaison for the UFV India program in Chandigarh, India. His teaching interests are in the areas of business strategy, entrepreneurship and business planning.  Mr. Mackenzie's teaching philosophy places a heavy emphasis on experiential learning and the application of course concepts to help ensure students graduate with the knowledge and skills valued by potential employers.

Description

I have a great appreciation for the professor who pushed me to get my CA designation. Isn’t it crazy how a little conversation can change your life so completely. Keith’s guidance alone has given me a lifetime of happiness and wealth. If I had gone to a larger university who knows if something like that would have ever happened. I am very proud of the route I took, but I wouldn’t have gotten there without my professors at UFV.
