Admissions checklist

Applying to the Inclusive Education Assistant program involves several steps. We've included a checklist below to help you with the process.

IEA Admission checklist

  • Submit your application (opens Oct 1, deadline: Jan 31)
    Go to EducationPlannerBC to apply.×
  • Send UFV your official post-secondary transcripts (deadline: Jan 31)
    • Provide one of the following:
      • Proof of BC secondary school graduation or equivalent.
      • OR successful completion of at least 9 university-level credits with a minimum GPA of 2.00.
    • Have your transcripts sent to UFV Admissions.

  • Meet prerequisites for CMNS 125 or ENGL 105 (deadline: January 31)
    • Provide evidence via interim or final transcripts.
    • See course requirements at CMNS 125 or ENGL 105.

  • Submit proof of ability to work with people with diverse abilities (deadline: January 31)
    • Submit a personal statement and resume demonstrating your experience.
    • Email these documents to admissions@ufv.ca.

  • Ask for two references to support your application (deadline: January 31)
    • Send the Reference Report Form to your referees.
    • Ask them to email completed forms directly to admissions@ufv.ca.

  • Check your application portal regularly
    • Track the status of your application and any required documents.
