You can apply to the Early Childhood Education as an international student. See how to apply as an international student.

Not at this time.
It's possible! Visit the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition website for more info.
You can apply for an Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) Certificate through the BC ECE Registry (not through UFV) after you successfully complete ECE 100 (Human Development I), ECE 102 (Introduction to Early Childhood Guidance), ECE 120 (Human Development II) or ECE 132 (Health, Safety and Nutrition) within 5 years of taking one of these courses. The BC ECE Registry also requires additional documents for your application; for more information about the ECEA Certificate application process, see BC ECE Registry website and contact information.
Yes. To work in a childcare centre, you need to have completed at least one ECE class on development or nutrition and health.
No, this is not an option. The UFV ECE program follows a cohort model, meaning that courses and practicums are designed to be integrated for those who are officially enrolled. Seats are reserved exclusively for admitted students, and individual courses or practicum opportunities are not available to those outside the program, even with an evaluation from the ECE Registry.
Register with the BC ECE registry to work as an educator.
Your Letter of Completion is available when you receive a graduation application update email from the Office of the Registrar and not before. Once you receive this email, you can obtain a completion letter online by following these steps:
A PDF of the letter will be sent to your student email, typically within 15 minutes. If you have not attended UFV for three consecutive semesters, the letter will be sent to your personal email on your student record. To change your personal information, see Personal Information Changes. For questions, contact the Office of the Registrar.
