Program Information

Each cohort begins in September.

Students may elect to take this program on either a full- or part-time basis. If taking the program full-time, students can complete it within 8 consecutive months. Students taking the program part-time have a maximum of four consecutive years to complete the program under the requirements that were in place at the time they were admitted to the program.

If you are a student in the IEA program and have not registered at UFV for more than three consecutive semesters, you will need to apply for re-admission to the IEA program.

Classes take place at the Mission campus. Online or distance education is not available for the IEA program at UFV.

Verification of Enrolment

After Graduation

UFV’s School of Education has a strong reputation and hiring rate amongst Fraser Valley School Districts. In designing this Inclusive EA certificate, the School of Education met with Learning Specialists and Administrators from the Fraser Cascades, Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, Langley, and Surrey School Districts to identify the key skills, knowledges, and dispositions needed to be an effective EA. The program was then designed to address all aspects, making these courses the most up-to-date preparation for today’s complex classrooms.

Your Letter of Completion is available when you receive a graduation application update email from the Office of the Registrar and not before. Once you receive this email, you can obtain a completion letter online by following these steps:

  1. Sign into your myUFV account.
  2. Under Student Record Requests, select Enrolment or Completion Letter.
  3. Select the appropriate term, verification type (Completion Letter), and then Continue.
  4. Select your address and then Continue.
  5. Review the information and then Submit Request.

A PDF of the letter will be sent to your student email, typically within 15 minutes. If you have not attended UFV for three consecutive semesters, the letter will be sent to your personal email on your student record. To change your personal information, see Personal Information Changes. For questions, contact the Office of the Registrar.
