How to book an appointment with an academic advisor

Why meet with a School of Business advisor?

School of Business advisors can help you:

  • Gain clarity on course selection, program requirements, and your graduation timeline.
  • Explore career options and gain relevant experience to move closer to your goals.
  • Address challenges like academic struggles or registration hurdles with expert guidance.
  • Build a strong plan for your future — advisors help you make confident decisions.

 

Meet with your advisor

at least once every year or 30 academic credits.

You can meet with an academic advisor Monday - Friday.

Appointments can be:

in-person (Abbotsford campus) or virtual.

  • Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Bachelor of Business Administration Aviation diploma or degree
  • Business Administration diploma
  • Accounting certificate
  • Business Administration certificate
  • Marketing and Sales certificate

  • Financial Analytics Post-baccalaureate diploma
  • International Business Post-baccalaureate diploma

Drop-in School of Business advising (15 min) – current School of Business students only

Drop-in advising sessions are 15 minutes long and designed to help you get quick answers and stay on track.

  • Quick check-ins for course planning, registration, program, or graduation questions.
  • Fast advice or help before key deadlines and busy periods.
  • Clear next steps or referrals if your question needs a longer follow-up appointment.
  • Offered Tuesdays and Thursdays; book at 7am same day, first-come, first-served.

Please email your request to businfo@ufv.ca from your UFV student email account, including your student name and student ID number, and we will get back to you by email in 5 to 10 business days. For all other concerns, please book an appointment.
